Baseball Game Preview: Ware Indians vs. Turners Falls Thunder

Ware has gone a perfect 4-0 against Turners Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Indians will welcome the Thunder at 7:00 p.m. Ware will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Ware proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Hopkins Academy. The three-run effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Nate Kaczuwka was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Kaczuwka was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other pitching news, Brady Guimond looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

Kaczuwka wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Koczur, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Turners Falls' offense. They came up short against Pioneer Valley Regional on Friday, falling 14-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ware's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Turners Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything went Ware's way against Turners Falls in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, as Ware made off with a 16-4 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
