Basketball Recap: Minto Victorious

Minto picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Pole Patriots, sneaking past 51-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lakers.

Minto can attribute much of their success to Jeffery Frank III, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Roberts Jr., who earned 11 points.

Minto's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Pole, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Minto and Ninilchik will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for North Pole, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hutchison at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
