Basketball Game Preview: Lakewood Spartans vs. Jesuit Tigers

The Lakewood Spartans will challenge the Jesuit Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Monday, Lakewood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-47 to Boca Ciega. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jesuit took on Wesley Chapel on Friday. Jesuit managed a 63-59 victory over Wesley Chapel. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Lakewood now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Jesuit, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lakewood was taken down by Jesuit 64-32 when the teams last played back in January of 2016. Thankfully for Lakewood, Stephen Darst (who went 7 of 10 en route to 22 points and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
