Basketball Preview: High Point Academy Eagles vs. Community Christian Warriors
The High Point Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Community Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. High Point Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, High Point Academy had to suffer through a rough 84-17 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points High Point Academy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Community Christian stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 73-18 win over Dallas Academy. Given Community Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 722nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1712th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
High Point Academy dropped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Community Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-5.
High Point Academy was taken down by the Warriors 56-29 when the teams last played back in January of 2020. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point High Point Academy was down 36-7.
