Softball Recap: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. Daingerfield Tigers

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jefferson had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Daingerfield Tigers. Winning may never get old, but Jefferson sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Madison Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Emma Galey was incredible, going 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chloe Wood, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.

Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season. As for Daingerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
