Soccer Game Preview: Terrell vs. Red Oak

Terrell is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Red Oak Hawks at 7:30 p.m.

Terrell is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Kilgore on Saturday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Terrell couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Red Oak). They put the hurt on Lancaster with a sharp 7-2 victory on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what Red Oak needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Red Oak has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That lines up perfectly with their 5-1-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Terrell, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
