Junior quarterback Harrison Rosar has big game to help Mustangs pull off upset.

Texas high school football powerhouse Allen saw its 72-game win streak against district opponents come to an end Friday night in 28-23 loss to Prosper. The Eagles last fell in a district contest Oct. 29, 2010, a 35-28 setback against Hebron (Carrollton).

According to the Dallas Morning News, junior quarterback Harrison Rosar threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns to spark the win for Prosper (6-3).

Under first-year head coach Chad Morris, who previously led SMU and Arkansas at the college level, Allen (7-2) saw another notable streak come to an end earlier this season. In early September, Atascocita (Humble) beat the Dallas-area program 41-20 to end a 122-game home streak.

Allen hasn't lost multiple games in the same season since 2010. The program rose to national prominence shortly after, winning three-straight state titles in 2012, 2013 and 2014 behind Kyler Murray and another in 2017.

In 2012, Allen opened an 18,000-seat, $60 million stadium.
