Soccer Game Preview: Atlanta Classical Academy vs. Lincoln County

The Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers will head out to face off against the Lincoln County Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Atlanta Classical Academy lost 5-1 to Walker on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Cavaliers were already down 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Leighton Maynard, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Swainsboro by a score of 2-1. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Having lost for the first time this season, Atlanta Classical Academy fell to 2-1. As for Lincoln County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Atlanta Classical Academy skirted past Lincoln County 2-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atlanta Classical Academy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
