Basketball Recap: Hannah Scott Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dawson

Italy won against Kerens last Saturday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Italy Gladiators took down the Dawson Bulldogs 42-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gladiators.

Italy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hannah Scott, who posted seven points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Arhiana Johnson, who had nine points.

Italy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dawson only posted six assists.

Dawson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joselynn Wilson, who earned six points and eight rebounds.

Italy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.3 points per game. As for Dawson, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Italy will be playing at home against Frost at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Frost will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Italy surely won't give up without a fight. Dawson has already played their next match (against Mildred), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
