Soccer Game Preview: Pelham vs. Spain Park

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pelham take on Spain Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pelham's last eight matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Pelham is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since February 27. Neither they nor Gardendale could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Spain Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain Brook.

Pelham's draw gives them a new season record of 10-4-3. As for Spain Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-2.

Pelham came out on top in a nail-biter against Spain Park in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
