Football Recap: Taylorsville Tartars vs. West Lauderdale Knights
Taylorsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 49-30 bruising from the West Lauderdale Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tartars of the 35-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
West Lauderdale was led to victory by Travion Mosley and K.P PEOPLES. Mosley rushed for 254 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, while PEOPLES rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Mosley's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 157 rushing yards.
Taylorsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Lauderdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
