Football Recap: Hillcrest Hornets vs. Capital City Cavaliers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hillcrest can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Capital City Cavaliers. The defeat leaves the Hornets still looking for their first win of the season.
It was another big night for Jaylen Thomas, who rushed for 142 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries for Capital City. That's the most rushing yards Thomas has posted since back in September. Marcus Driver did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.
Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Capital City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Capital City, they have already played their next game, a 45-21 victory against Glendale on the 7th.
