Baseball Game Preview: Dobbs Ferry Eagles vs. Blind Brook Trojans

For the first time this season, Dobbs Ferry will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Blind Brook Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dobbs Ferry will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Haldane on Saturday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over the Blue Devils. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

While Blind Brook didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Briarcliff on Saturday.

Alex Schneider spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jack Pastor was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Glantz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Dobbs Ferry now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Blind Brook, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Everything went Dobbs Ferry's way against Blind Brook in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Dobbs Ferry made off with a 13-2 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
