Baseball Recap: Naperville Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oswego East on Saturday, Naperville Central came back down to earth. The Redhawks fell just short of the DeKalb Barbs by a score of 4-3 on Monday. If the Redhawks were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to the Barbs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Naperville Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for DeKalb, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4-1.

While Naperville Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
