Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Halifax Academy). Everything went their way against the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders on Friday as Halifax Academy made off with an 18-3 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Halifax Academy got a massive performance out of Maddy Bethel, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave Bethel a new career-high. Karson Ricks was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Halifax Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Halifax Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-7-1. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
