Preview: Tattnall Square Academy Trojans vs. Stratford Academy Eagles

Tattnall Square Academy is 1-9 against Stratford Academy since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tattnall Square Academy Trojans' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Stratford Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Tattnall Square Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.

Tattnall Square Academy can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past First Presbyterian Day 89-57 at home. Given Tattnall Square Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while First Presbyterian Day is ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Antone Johnson was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. Another player making a difference was Whit Davidson, who scored 17 points.

Meanwhile, Stratford Academy got the win against First Presbyterian Day on Thursday by a conclusive 66-45.

Tattnall Square Academy pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Stratford Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Tattnall Square Academy came up short against Stratford Academy in their previous meeting back in January, falling 76-71. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stratford Academy's Jarvis Smith II, who scored 33 points along with six rebounds.
