Softball Recap: Western Yell County Comes Up Short

Western Yell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to the County Line Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 last Tuesday.

Western Yell County's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for County Line, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Western Yell County will square off against Magazine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for County Line, they will face off against Greenland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
