Baseball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Takes a Loss

Wyalusing Valley lost to Troy back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams lost 16-3 to the Trojans.

Griffin Sheldon was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Mhadden Hugo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Wyalusing Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Troy, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Wyalusing Valley and Troy will both be playing Mansfield the next time they take the field. The Rams will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
