Basketball Recap: Kenton Takes a Loss

Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Liberty-Benton Eagles and fell 69-22. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 783rd, while the Eagles are ranked 95th).

Kenton's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Liberty-Benton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Kenton will welcome Bath at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Liberty-Benton, they will head out to challenge Ada at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Liberty-Benton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
