Preview: FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers vs. Chiles Timberwolves
The FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers will head out on the road to square off against the Chiles Timberwolves at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
FAMU DRS suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Godby 65-20. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for FAMU DRS in their matchups with Godby: they've now lost three in a row.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, FAMU DRS struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Godby racked up 19 assists.
Meanwhile, Chiles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against Niceville, falling 68-33. While losing is never fun, Chiles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Niceville is ranked 22nd).
FAMU DRS's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Chiles, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9.
FAMU DRS was taken down by Chiles 72-30 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Thankfully for FAMU DRS, Lindsey Myrick (who scored 17 points along with five assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
