Recap: First Flight Nighthawks vs. Northeastern Eagles
The First Flight Nighthawks entered their tilt with the Northeastern Eagles with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. First Flight came out on top against Northeastern by a score of 50-40 on Tuesday. This was payback for First Flight, who suffered a 82-46 loss the last time these two teams met.
Mason Dobie was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Burke Powers, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and three steals.
First Flight pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Flight will take on Currituck County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeastern, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pasquotank County at 7:30 p.m.
