Baseball Recap: Greensburg Salem Takes a Loss

Greensburg Salem was the 3-2 winner over Ligonier Valley when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Greensburg Salem fell 5-2 to Ligonier Valley on Friday. The Golden Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brody Chismar was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Greensburg Salem now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ligonier Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greensburg Salem is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Southmoreland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ligonier Valley, they will take on Derry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
