Softball Recap: Justin Garza Has No Trouble Against Lindsay

Justin Garza's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Lindsay Cardinals. The result was nothing new for the Guardians, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Aditi Sood was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Justin Garza let Riley Nason and Aubrey Escobedo run wild. Nason scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Escobedo scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of JorJa Hernandez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Justin Garza always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lindsay only posted an OBP of .450.

With the win, Justin Garza broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-4. As for Lindsay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1.

Coincidentally, Justin Garza and Lindsay will both be playing Dos Palos the next time they take the field. The Guardians will host the Broncos at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
