Basketball Recap: Creighton Takes a Loss

Creighton was the 45-43 winner over Bloomfield when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Creighton Bulldogs took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomfield Bees on Thursday.

Bloomfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Beau Eisenhauer led the charge by going 7-for-15 en route to 17 points and eight steals. With that strong performance, Eisenhauer is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Keldon Loecker was another key player, going 9-for-14 to rack up 19 points.

Creighton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Bloomfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Creighton has already played their next contest, a 60-38 defeat against Plainview on the 14th. As for Bloomfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-29 win against Homer on the 14th.
