Ephrata has gone a perfect 4-0 against Muhlenberg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mountaineers are taking a road trip to face off against the Muhls at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Ephrata came up short against Cocalico and fell 33-21. The loss continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the defeat, Ephrata saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Malachi Knowles rushed for 46 yards and one TD, and also threw for 131 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Muhlenberg was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Exeter Township 42-12. The Muhls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Muhlenberg, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Ephrata against Muhlenberg in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 32-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
