Basketball Recap: Lafayette County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hogan Prep Charter last Monday, Lafayette County came back down to earth. The Lafayette County Huskers fell 66-54 to the Lexington Minutemen on Tuesday. The Huskers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Minutemen earlier this season, when they won 61-52.

Lafayette County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Lexington, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Coming up, Lafayette County will square off against Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington, they will challenge Richmond at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Richmond likes a good challenge.
