Softball Game Preview: Comanche Indians vs. Breckenridge Buckaroos

For the first time this season, Comanche will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to challenge the Breckenridge Buckaroos at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Comanche comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Comanche's tournament run continued when they took on San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy on Friday. The Indians fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Kylee Hesbrook put in work while hitting and pitching. She pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hesbrook wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cassandra Rangel, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Breckenridge made easy work of Benbrook on Thursday and carried off a 16-8 victory.

Breckenridge's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Comanche, their record now sits at 0-8.

Comanche got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Breckenridge by a conclusive 24-7 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buckaroos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
