Basketball Recap: Lewisburg Comes Up Short

Lewisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Bayou Academy Colts, falling 42-20. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Colts are ranked 97th).

Lewisburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-25. As for Bayou Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Lewisburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-28 defeat against Southaven on the 4th. As for Bayou Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-36 loss against Simpson Academy on the 4th.
