Basketball Recap: Lake Worth Christian Takes a Loss

Lake Worth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-20 loss at the hands of the Atlantic Christian Sharks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Defenders of the 47-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Atlantic Christian found their leader in sophomore Jaidah Chase, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Destiny Martinez, who had 13 points.

Lake Worth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Atlantic Christian, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Lake Worth Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-26 win against Sheridan Hills Christian on the 16th. Atlantic Christian has also already played their next game, a 0-0 victory against Pahokee on the 16th.
