Baseball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King fell victim to Santiago and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat on Tuesday.

King saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

King has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Santiago, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King will face off against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Santiago, they will challenge Norco at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Sharks surely won't give up without a fight.
