Newark Tech came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Kearny Kardinals with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Terries might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Newark Tech's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kearny, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Newark Tech will square off against East Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kearny, they will take on Snyder at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
