Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-6 victory over the Eldorado Firehawks. The result was nothing new for the Pirate, who have now won eight contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon found their leader in sophomore Tehani Shigematsu, who threw for 256 yards and six touchdowns while completing 87% of her passes, and also rushed for 52 yards. What's more, Shigematsu also racked up 142.4 passer rating, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Manahere Peters was in the mix too, providing Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon with two touchdowns.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off eight passes before the game was over. Hendrix Wilson led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself.

Despite the loss, Eldorado still got an impressive performance from Kaliyah Guillory, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Aerith Sanchez, who rushed for 104 yards on only 11 carries.

The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points per game. As for Eldorado, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
