Basketball Game Preview: Caravel Buccaneers vs. Sanford Warriors

Caravel is 1-9 against Sanford since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Caravel Buccaneers will be playing at home against the Sanford Warriors at 6:15 p.m.

Caravel is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Mt. Zion Prep Academy, who was ranked sixth in their home state at the time (Caravel was ranked first). Caravel fell to Mt. Zion Prep Academy 53-47.

Meanwhile, Sanford came tearing into Thursday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Raiders 53-35.

Sanford's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.4 points over those games. As for Caravel, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
