Basketball Recap: Porter's Chapel Academy Takes a Loss

Porter's Chapel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Prairie View Academy Spartans, falling 71-24. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.

Prairie View Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathan Stokes, who went 8 for 17 en route to 20 points and three steals. That's the most points Stokes has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden McKoin, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 18 points.

Porter's Chapel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Prairie View Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Porter's Chapel Academy will face off against Hillcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie View Academy, they will challenge Cornerstone Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
