Basketball Recap: Wheeling Park Takes a Loss

Wheeling Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Spring Mills Cardinals 75-38. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Cardinals are ranked first).

Wheeling Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Spring Mills, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Wheeling Park will take on Preston at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th. Spring Mills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
