There's no place like home for Cherokee Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They really took it to the Eaglecrest Raptors for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-30 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cherokee Trail to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madeline Gibbs, who posted 14 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Gibbs is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Delainey Miller, who had nine points and five steals.

Eaglecrest's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Jada Bobb and Glorielle Mukeba. Bobb went 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points, while Mukeba earned six points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. Bobb has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Cherokee Trail pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points over those games. As for Eaglecrest, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.

Cherokee Trail didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-46 win against Overland on the 7th. As for Eaglecrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 40-38 defeat against Mullen on the 7th.
