Football Recap: Starr's Mill Falls Short of Marist in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Starr's Mill can now relate to. They were beaten by the Marist War Eagles 30-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the War Eagles are ranked 29th).

James Lasco had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 145 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 71 yards and one TD for Marist. Bryce Matlock also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Starr's Mill and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Marist, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marist, they have already played their next matchup, a 28-10 win against Blessed Trinity on the 21st.
