Baseball Recap: Highland Rams vs. Bath County Chargers
Highland and Bath County pushed the score to 16-6 the last time they played Bath County, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Chargers 3-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
John Wagner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
