Basketball Recap: Headland Comes Up Short

Headland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Carroll Eagles, falling 64-39. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Eagles are ranked 81st).

Headland's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Carroll, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Headland will host Pike Liberal Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carroll, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eufaula at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carroll knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Eufaula likes a good challenge.
