Football Recap: Bell Gardens Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hawthorne last Wednesday, Bell Gardens came back down to earth. The Lancers took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Chiefs on Wednesday.

Bell Gardens' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Santa Fe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Bell Gardens will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alhambra at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Santa Fe, they will head out to square off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
