Basketball Game Preview: Quilcene Rangers vs. Northwest Christian Wolverines

The Quilcene Rangers will challenge the Northwest Christian Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Back in December of 2024, Quilcene was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to Crescent. The defeat continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Loggers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Northwest Christian entered their tilt with Crosspoint Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They rang in the new year with a 49-42 victory over the Wildcats.

Northwest Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Quilcene, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Quilcene beat Northwest Christian 63-56 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will Quilcene repeat their success, or does Northwest Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
