Volleyball Recap: Weyauwega-Fremont Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Weyauwega-Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shiocton Chiefs. The Warhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Weyauwega-Fremont actually scored more points across those five sets (107-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 12-25, 26-24, 15-10.

McKenna Ferg paced Weyauwega-Fremont's offense, picking up 17 kills. Ferg got some help from Mariah Baehnman and her 47 assists. Ferg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Weyauwega-Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shiocton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Weyauwega-Fremont is taking a road trip to square off against Lourdes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shiocton, they will square off against Oakfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
