Baseball Recap: Morningside Monarchs vs. Inglewood Sentinels
Morningside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 11-7 to the Inglewood Sentinels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sentinels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 last Tuesday.
Ramiro Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. Ramon Gonzalez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.
Morningside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Inglewood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-9.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Morningside will face off against rival Hawthorne at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Inglewood is set to take on their familiar foe Leuzinger at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
