George C. Marshall lost a heartbreaker the last time they played McLean, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's match. The Statesmen blew past the Highlanders 11-3 on Wednesday. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Statesmen this season.

George C. Marshall's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-14. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for McLean, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.
