Ichabod Crane is 6-1 against Voorheesville since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Riders will head out on the road to square off against the Blackbirds at 4:15 p.m. Ichabod Crane is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Ichabod Crane and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, and Ichabod Crane kept the tradition alive. The Riders were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Ravens on Wednesday. The Riders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Voorheesville had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past Troy 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blackbirds have posted since May 1, 2024.

Drew Hillicoss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, Voorheesville's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bo Normile, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Normile a new career-high. Nick Suits also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Ichabod Crane pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Voorheesville, their record now sits at 4-8-1.
