Basketball Recap: Gibbon Takes a Loss

Gibbon lost against Ord back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gibbon Buffaloes were outmatched by the Ord Chanticleers and fell 60-33. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elijah Pollard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ord, going 5 of 7 en route to 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Pollard is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Critel, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points.

Gibbon's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ord, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibbon will face off against Blue Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ord, they will challenge Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ord has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
