Softball Recap: Forreston Comes Up Short

Forreston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Orangeville Broncos, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 on Tuesday.

Forreston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Borgmann, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Forreston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Orangeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Forreston will head out to take on Milledgeville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orangeville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against River Ridge/Scales Mound at 4:30 p.m.
