Pioneer waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 win over the Delphi Community Oracles. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 55-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Delphi Community saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Payton Morrow went 7 for 12 on her way to 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Morrow a new career-high in blocks (two). Jenna Roth was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Pioneer is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Delphi Community, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

Pioneer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-47 victory against Rossville on the 4th. As for Delphi Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-51 defeat against Winamac on the 4th.
