While Valencia's win against Hart wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Valencia skirted past Hart 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

Carly Kearns spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Stanchfield, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Kiera Rand also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Valencia's record is now 6-3. As for Hart, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Valencia will challenge West Ranch at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hart, they will take on Peninsula at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
