Gig Harbor waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bellarmine Prep Lions 56-53. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tides' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Lions are ranked 30th).

Gig Harbor's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Bellarmine Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.
